Terncy Home Center MP3 Management
MP3 management is a new feature in Terncy Home Center, support uploading mp3 and m4a format files to Home Center to play custom music. Wake up smart life with “sound”.
Note: This feature is only supported on Home Center v3.1.0 or above, and Terncy app v3.0.14 or above.
How to upload mp3, m4a files to the Home Center
Note: The file size must be less than 1MB, and a home center only upload up to 10 files
1.Open the recorded mp3 or m4a file in other applications, and choose “Open in Other App”;
2.Select Terncy app, choose a Home Center to upload, tap “Next”;
3.Enter a description for the file, tap “Next step” in the upper right corner and wait for the upload to complete;
* Note: m4a file require the Home Center be connected to the public network to upload
4.Tap “Complete” in the upper right corner, the mp3 file will highlighted in Terncy app’s “MP3 file list” page.
How to play mp3 files in the Home Center
Play MP3 in “Scene”
1.In the Terncy app, choose the “Room” tab in the bottom navigation bar;
2.Tap the “➕” button in the upper right corner, and choose the “Add scene”;
3.Enter the “Edit Scene” page, tap the “Add” button at the bottom, and choose “Play”;
4.Enter the “Select device” page, select the speaker you need, and tap the “Complete”;
5.Enter the “Edit action” page, choose the “Play media file” and “Loop times”, and tap the “Complete”;
* Note: the loop times is only valid for Alauda, not valid for Bose speaker
6.Enter the scene name, choose the room, and tap the “Complete” to save the scene;
7.Activate the scene, Alauda player or the connected Bose speaker can play mp3 file normally.
Play MP3 in “Automation”
1.In the Terncy app, choose the “Automation” tab in the bottom navigation bar;
2.Tap the “➕” button in the upper right corner, choose the automation template you need, the following is an example of “Routine”;
3.Tap “Routine” to enter the “New automation” page, select the required time, and set the condition;
4.Tap the “+” button to the right of execution, and choose the “Play”;
5.Enter the “Select device” page, select the speaker you need, and tap the “Complete”;
6.Enter the “Edit action” page, choose the “Play media file” and “Loop times”, and tap the “Complete”;
* Note: the loop times is only valid for Alauda, not valid for Bose speaker
7.After the condition and execution are edited, tap the “Complete” in the upper right corner to save the automation;
8.The created automation will be displayed in the automation list. This automation means that the “alarm clock” is played at 8:00 am every workday.
Example of MP3 Feature Usage
As alarm
It can work with some sensors through automation. When the home center receives an alarm reminder, the speaker will make an alarm sound for the first time.
As doorbell
When the doorbell is pressed, in addition to the doorbell itself, the speakers in the house can also follow, to avoid because we can’t hear the doorbell on the balcony or kitchen
As alarm clock, let the music wake you up
Open your eyes to the pleasant music every morning at 8:00 am, start your day full of energy
Set up a variety of personalized scenes
Festival Mode: record festival-related mp3 files, play it by activating the “scene”, create surrounding feeling with music
Arrive Home Mode: after a busy day of work, you just want to go home and lay on the sofa and play your favorite music on a loop
