Terncy smart lock, wall switch, light controller support two modes. Bluetooth mode, that can be paired to HomeKit directly, or ZigBee mode that need to work with Terncy Home Center.

You can upgrade the device firmware to change from Bluetooth mode to ZigBee mode or vice versa. This post is a guide of how to change smart lock from Bluetooth to Zigbee, the process is similar for other devices.

Prerequist 1: The operation must be done on a iPhone or iPad

Prerequist 2: A Terncy Home Center is paried to HomeKit and it’s online

Prerequist 3: The bluetooth smart lock firmware version is larger than 22

1. Start Terncy app in HomeKit mode; switch to device tab page, and tap the bluetooth mode device’s icon to enter the device’s detail page

2. Tap “Check ZigBee image” (If there is no online Home Cetner in current home, the button won’t be visible)

1. Tap OK, a new version targeting ZigBee mode will be shown if the firmage is available

1. Tap upgrade button and confirm

2. Please keep the Terncy app in foreground during the process, or the upgrade will pause

3. After the upgrade is done, the smart lock will restart and light up the LED. It’s running in ZigBee mode

How to pair Smart Lock to Terncy Home Center

1. Start Terncy app and login

2. Select the desired Home Center in the list to the left, then switch to “Device” tab

3. Tap “Add Device” in top right corner to start seasrching for new device

4. Tap the screen on the Smart Lock to activate, tap 2# and enter admin passcode. Selet enroll network in the menu. The Smart Lock will be shown on Terncy app shortly

5. Tap “Add” button and set the name and room information for the Lock

6. After it’s paired, you’ll be able to control the Lock remotely or setup automaiton rules in Terncy system
